Surrounded by water and squeezed between the San Andreas Fault and the ongoing boom-busts of the "The Future" - San Francisco welcomes everyone, and waits for nobody :)
This guide (300+ articles) focuses on the things that make San Francisco unique and exciting rather than covering "everything". If there's something you're curious about, I'd love to hear from you - feel free to leave a comment through the guide, email kevin@sutromedia.com or tweet http://twitter.com/#!/sfxplorer
For newcomers to SF, I recommend finding neighborhood/s which capture your imagination and working from there. The Mission is easily the "coolest" neighborhood (adjoining Hayes Valley vibes similar), Golden Gate Park, Lands End, and Ocean Beach are primary outdoor destinations, the Marina a hotspot of nightlife for a (slightly) more conservative crowd, the Civic Center and Tenderloin are centroids of art and performance... and that's just the beginning :)
Good luck! And let me know if I can help you.
