The first Swensen's Ice Cream parlour opened in 1948 and is still rocking Russian Hill.
SF's ice cream wars have migrated toward the Mission (Bi-Rite and Humphry Slocombe) and Smitten in Hayes Valley... but none of them have direct Cable Car service :)
